The Situation: The concrete walls of the Aspley Water Reservoir needed to be lined, as they were deteriorating and starting to leak.

The Solution: The old concrete wall surfaces were grit-blasted to prepare a smooth, clean surface ready for a cold spray-applied membrane application. Trowel-Grade membrane product was applied at the wall slab joints inside the basin. A tack coat of the cold spray-applied membrane “A” product was then applied as a primer to the reservoir’s internal walls to form the best adhesion surface for the membrane. The cold spray-applied membrane was then sprayed at a nominal thickness of 2mm to the internal wall surfaces of the reservoir, including the support buttresses, forming a sealed, protective lining.
