Surge Tank Waterproofing – Mt Isa
Xstrata Copper Surge Tank Re-lining
1350m2 Applied to geotextile and steel.
The Situation: The surge tank at Xstrata Copper's Mt Isa mine needed either resurfacing or replacing.
The Solution: A cold spray-applied membrane sprayed at 2mm onto geotextile across the bottom of the tank and 500mm up the sides and directly onto the steel over the remainder of the sides provided the required resurfacing by completely sealing the interior surface of the tank.
