Break Pressure Tank Waterproofing
Adelaide Desalination Project New Pipeline,Happy Valley, SA
1820m² Applied to a pre-cast concrete slab reservoir

The Situation: A new pre-cast concrete slab Break Pressure Tank was being constructed for the New Pipeline of the Adelaide Desalination Project and required waterproofing over the floor and support column bases of the tank.
The Solution: A cant of Trowel-Grade membrane product was applied to form a coving at the wall/floor joint inside the water tank and along each joint in each of the column bases. A cold spray-applied membrane was then sprayed at a nominal thickness of 2mm to the floor of the tank, extending approximately 500mm up the walls and right up over the bases of the support columns, forming a complete seal across the base of the tank.
