250m² Vapour Barrier Membrane and Geovent system under foyer areas and lift wells.
The Situation: Contaminated soil on an old coal gas pumping station site had to be sealed before new blocks of units could be built.
The Solution: A Geovent system was designed for the foyer areas and lift wells of the site. It was laid out in those areas, covered in geotextile and then sealed with a 2mm coat of a cold spray-applied membrane, with risers protruding to allow venting. The site contained a large number of protrusions which were easily accommodated, with a seamless gas barrier membrane installed and smoke tested.
