The Situation: The Merrylands Shopping Centre was to be extended over a brownfields site with methane gas emission problems.
The Solution: A Geovent system was designed for the site. It was laid out, covered in geotextile and then sealed with a 2mm coat of cold spray-applied membrane, with risers protruding to allow venting.
